Abstract
Understanding the mechanism of long-term geological formation is essential in earth science and technology. Major difficulty lies in the multiscale nature both in space and time. In order to tuckle this problem, we developed a simple particle method to simulate soil-water transport phenomena. The method deals with the hydraulic pressure in the soil-water mixture by a simple interaction among the unit-volume particles. This simplification contributes to drastically reduce the computation time. We demonstrate both the advantage and the limitation of the method through some simple examples.
